Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Group

DBT Skills training is a manualized, evidence-based, treatment approach to help individuals change behaviours, emotions, thoughts,
and interpersonal patterns associated with problems in living. These skills can help with anger, episodes of depression or anxiety,
intense or chaotic relationships, impulsivity, stress, and feelings of emptiness. Modules include mindfulness, distress tolerance,
emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. This group can help improve insight into emotions, thoughts, and behaviours.

This is the skills group only. This is not a complete DBT program.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for PTSD Group

CBT for PTSD is an evidence-based approach to reduce the frequency and severity of PTSD symptoms. Treatment includes psychoeducation, behavioural exposures, and cognitive restructuring. Core themes disrupted by trauma including safety, trust, power/control, intimacy, and esteem are explored.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Group

ACT is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals manage difficult thoughts and feelings by accepting them, rather than trying to eliminate them, and by committing to actions that align with their values. The goal of ACT is psychological flexibility. This group can help with the transition out of the military into civilian life, learning about the self, defining values, and committed action towards those values. This group is ideal for those struggling with adjustment, the ‘next chapter’, retirement, life transition.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Group

IFS is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. IFS
helps clients understand ‘parts’ of their personality, including protective and wounded inner parts, and helps individuals understand, heal, and integrate their parts towards their authentic self. This group is ideal for individuals currently receiving Ketamine treatment with their psychiatrist, as IFS has been found effective in unlocking blocked parts and in assisting with integration into daily life.

Please note this is not considered Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Veteran Family Support Group

We are offering a virtual support group for family members of veterans. The aim of this group is to provide a safe, supportive, and
non-judgmental space for mutual aid and discussion among participants, with the end goal of promoting self-care and capacity to support veteran family members. Topics of discussion may include self-care, healthy communication and boundary setting, increasing a sense of empowerment and family resiliency, and establishing goals to increase quality of life.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia Group

CBT-I stands for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia. This short-term (CBT-I) group is designed to help participants break the cycle of chronic sleep difficulties and improve overall sleep quality. Participants will learn practical tools and evidencebased strategies to manage insomnia.
