Luci Belknap, MA
Luci moved to Halifax from Ontario in early 2020, where they completed their training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Toronto. Luci’s training is rooted in client-centered approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and trauma counselling. They also have professional training in Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions, as well as extensive experience in providing support for members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
Luci provides individual therapy for adults, using an empathy- and mindfulness-based approach tailored to fit each client’s specific needs. When working with clients who have experienced trauma, Luci uses Internal Family Systems to facilitate healing. They draw from an anti-oppression framework to provide the highest quality of care possible to members of marginalized groups and their loved ones. Luci also has experience in helping clients navigate family-of-origin and attachment issues. They provide services in both English and French.
Luci loves spending time outdoors, hiking, gardening, and backpacking. They also enjoy playing music, song writing, and creating visual art. Luci is transgender and uses they/them pronouns.
