Christina Murphy (she/her) is a compassionate Registered Counselling Therapist – Candidate with extensive experience supporting individuals who have faced intimate partner violence, childhood trauma, and substance use challenges. Ms. Murphy is trained in both Africentric and queer-affirmative counselling approaches, and she is committed to creating a warm, inclusive, and safe environment for all clients seeking therapy.
Ms. Murphy’s practice centers on empowering clients to reclaim their narratives, foster resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. She specializes in life transitions, anxiety, emotion regulation, and relationship concerns, employing a trauma-informed approach. Her integrative therapy style incorporates modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),and Polyvagal Theory, ensuring a personalized and empowering therapeutic experience.
With a Master’s degree in Education (Counselling) from Acadia University and a Master’s of Science (Experimental Psychology) from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Ms. Murphy has a deep understanding of positive psychology and harm reduction. Ms. Murphy is level 2 certified in ACT, a certified Agricultural Informed Therapist, and has completed additional workshops in emotion focused individual therapy and internal family systems. Her experience includes providing both individual and group counselling, in-person and virtually, to a diverse range of individuals.
Ms. Murphy offers flexible in-person and virtual sessions from both the Kentville & Halifax offices, dedicated to supporting clients through their unique challenges and helping them thrive.
Sybil is a Registered Counselling Therapist in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT), and a Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
Sybil has experience working with individuals across the lifespan. She believes that healing occurs in relationship and in the supportive networks that we have, or create, and therefore sees her work through an attachment and relational lens. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, grief and loss or trauma, Sybil believes that creating a warm, safe environment and relationship is the starting point for being able to address these concerns and move towards meaningful change in our lives.
Sybil is trained to offer several modalities within the context of a ‘person first’ counselling relationship, such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Maggie Logue-Prest is a Clinical Social Worker who loves supporting people in making meaningful changes in their lives. She has a warm and compassionate approach to therapy and helps her clients identify their strength and apply those strengths in the difficulties they are having.
Ms. Logue-Prest enjoys helping her clients when they feel overwhelmed and are struggling to navigate difficult circumstances in their lives. She deals with a range of mental health issues in her practice and is especially skilled in helping others:
– Understand their emotions and navigate emotions
– Effectively create and maintain healthy changes and behaviours
– Improve self-esteem learn about personal boundary setting (saying no, learning assertive communication)
-Establish personal identity and purpose
Ms. Logue-Prest also enjoys working with currently serving or former military members, especially during periods of transition- whether that be a new career or integrating into civilian life.
Maggie received her Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Toronto. She has experience providing individual and group therapy in a number of clinical settings, including healthcare, adult and children’s mental health, and private practice.
Maggie’s therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Structured Relapse Prevention (SRP).

Dr. Clement is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology and a Master’s in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has diversified experience in a variety of settings including rural and urban community mental health, forensics, university health services, inpatient psychiatry and medicine, and private practice. Dr. Clement completed her residency in the Annapolis valley (2009/2010), and has stayed in Nova Scotia since that time. Within the last 10 years, the majority of her practice has been dedicated to working with law enforcement, first responders and military personnel.
Dr. Clement believes in meeting each client with a sense of compassion and curiosity, and values the significance of empathy and therapeutic alliance as both the foundation and catalyst for enhanced self-awareness, personal growth and meaningful transition. She works with adolescents (15+) and adults, providing individual and group therapy for people challenged with issues related to chronic medical conditions, trauma, grief, emotional distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, attachment, school/workplace stress and life transition.
Dr. Clement’s training is grounded in humanistic theory, which she considers to be at the core of her therapeutic approach with clients. However, she also integrates theories of mind/body science with psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and mindfulness-based approaches. She also has expertise in several trauma-focused therapies including EMDR, CPT, and PE.
